1.Indian Institute of Science

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore was established in the year 1909 by the Indian Government. IISc was started with the joint efforts of Jamsetji Nussarwanji Tata, the Government of India and the Maharaja of Mysore. The campus spreads over 371 acres of land. IISc offers undergraduate (Bachelor of Science), postgraduate (M.Tech, M.Des, M.Mgt) and doctoral (Ph.D, Integrated Ph.D) courses in various areas.

Established in 1953, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), formerly known as Manipal University, is a private research institute deemed to be university located in the university town of Manipal, Udupi, Karnataka, India.  The current organizational structure of MAHE was formed in 1953 when the University Grants Commission (UGC) granted it the status of a deemed university.
